| at 54 isnt it late to go back to school? | | dear mylotters,
this friend has been a schoolmate in my elementary years. she finished high school and was married early, had children and became a widow.
now all her children have moved out of her house because they all got married already. she only have a maid helper with her as her companion in the house.
she is thinking of going back to school.. get a college degree.
she is confused on her choice of what to do. she thinks it is very late now to think about college because of her age. but if she start a business, she might not be able to manage a small business well because she only finished that much schooling.
what do you think? is it wise to go back to school at her age?

| Soap As the world turns cancelled after 54 years | | I think soaps are the guilty pleasure of the masses, unbelievable plots, impossible recovery and ageing or lack thereof and finally lots of love stories, that rarely end in happily ever after for long. This is the second long term soap to end in the US do you think it's a trend in the way people watch television or just that show that didn't work any more? What or who will you miss most from ATWT? | |

| 53% is somehow an Obama "mandate", but 54% is meaningless? | | Isn't it hilariously telling how 53% win in Obama's presidential campaign was somehow a "mandate", but 54% opposition to his Obamacare plan (ok, Congress's plan, since Obama is too lazy and arrogant to actually read it, much less bothered writing it... but somehow he claims to support it) is somehow the "fringe"?Get over yourself Barrack! 75% of Americans are happy with what we have. That means we DON'T see a need to allow you and your goons to run healthcare. In fairness, that does mean that a significant number of Americans aren't happy with the status quo. We do know that our system isn't run as well as it could, so we acknowledge there is room for reform. Why don't we start with the laws already on the books? Why don't we start with exposing and prosecuting the fraud and other criminal acts perpetrated by insurance, the medical industry, consumers and government officials. If there is a mess to clean up, let's start with cleaning up the mess before we go blindly into "reform" simply because Obama demands it. | |
