| Windows Media Player problem | | My windows media player is acting up again. I'm using a windows vista home basic and I don't know if it has something to do with my player but I've never had a problem with this for a long time. When I tried playing a vid clip with an avi or wmv format it won't work. Everytime I do this my player will give me a message that says close or search the web for answer. I tried downloading additional plug-ins or upgrades but nothing changes. Audios are okay, though. | |

| | Which is the best media player? | | Lot of people say 'VLC Media player' due to its ability to play any kind of media format and the most important of all, its free. I too like it but Windows Media player has much greater sophistication. Only sore point is that it has some DRM and other restrictive stuff and its inability to play all formats makes it less admirable. In this case, VLC seems to be best and the makers are releasing updates very often. For audio files, Winamp is the father of all players since its there from beginning and with its unique ability to transform itself due to the plugins, skins and plethora of other features. | |

| | Do you often listen music from your Window Media Player? | | I am a music lover guys but I never enjoyed it before until I changed my Operating System into a genuine one. Right now I am enjoying so much from my Window Media Player because I could select a lot of genre I love to listen.

| What media player are you using? | | I use Media Player Classic for both audio and video. It's really fast, has all the functions I need, supports all file types and plays broken files too. I have pretty slow computer and media player classic handles large video files much better than VLC, which I'm using sometimes on the other computer. | |
