What os do you use??
What OS do you guys use?? I use windows media center 2005 with dual boot with ubuntu 8.10. I recently installed ubuntu and I'm very impressed. It's quick, efficient, and stable. Haven't had a single crash. In fact, my computer has been on for a whole week and I still don't have to restart it. It's also very customizable. I have compiz fusion running on it and the user interface is just wonderful. I even can run all my windows apps and games at full speed on here with wine. I barely even boot into windows anymore:D
Windows Media Center
How many of you use and utilize the benefits of Windows Media Center. Have you tried to view and record any TV programs and if yes then how is the clarity of it, I heard many of friends say that there are lot of pixelation when the view the recorded program. Have you faced any such problem?
Windows Media Center
Having just got myself a tv tuner for my laptop I wished to use windows media center to view tv rather than the software included.Upon trying to do so I get an error message saying "configuration settings for your region could not be determined, restart and try again".I have tried google for an answer, however the one I can find is to make sure my user account is the admin (which it is). So this has not fixed my problem. Can any of you guys help?
Dell xps m1530
Summary: I have had my M1530 for a few days now and it has been incredible. I got mine with Intel Core2 Duo 2.2Ghz Processor, 2GB RAM, 256MB NVIDIA Graphics and it has performed beautifully. It has had no trouble with any tasks I have thrown at it. The processors give ample room for both multimedia multitasking and gaming. So far it can easily handle all but the most advanced games (ie. Crysis...). One interesting and very useful feature of Vista that I have used on this machine is ReadyBoost. It allows you to allocate space on a flash drive or SD type card and use it as a RAM cache. I have added almost another whole GB of RAM using a SD card with this feaure, and the difference is noticable. I would recommend using this with and SD card, as it fits into the slot without protruding from the side, as a flash drive would. With all this power, any multimedia looks and sounds fantastic on this machine. The HD screen displays movies and videos extremely well. As far as music goes, it works very well. Using either Windows Media Center or Dell's Media Direct gives a great experience. There it no lag time between songs, pictures or anything else. The included remote (you get 2 by the...

Zune and Windows Media Player
I was really disappointed when I got my Zune that I could not use Windows Media Player to sync my Zune. WMP will sync with other media playes (not the iPod of course), so why wont Microsoft let its software sync with its media player?Has anyone figured this out? Is there a way to do it?
iPad v/s Netbook comparison by me, which one do you prefer?
Note: I originally wrote this post for an article submission site, but it was declined saying it had readability errors. Do tell me your preference. The iPad is the latest product from Apple, which is said to be the best experience for Web, Mail and Photos ever!Though the iPad is said to be a bridge between smart phones and Laptops, it competes with net-books, that recently came into limelight. Now what might confuse a consumer is whether he should choose a netbook, or an iPad?To start the comparison, we first take a netbook that matches the iPad's price range, and one such netbook is the Asus Eee PC 1201N, which is priced around 500$, similar to the iPad. The very first positive feature of the iPad is that it is a product from Apple. Apple designs it's products keeping consumers in mind, so even a 5 year old kid can get the most out of Apple products as they are not only easy to use, but beautiful too.The Exterior ComparisonThe iPad definitely wins in this. The iPad boasts an awesome design, slim and light body, and aluminium finish to make it all better. But the Asus 1210N doesn't halt back in this section too, as it has a glossy exterior finishing,...
TV Tuners in PC's
Is there a way to use the TV tuner in my pc to actually watch televisoner on your comput without having to stick that little remote sensor sticker on a cable box (it fell of the first day)! Both of my pc's have Media Center and TV tuners installed (one even came bundled with an extra external tuner), and I tried hooking one of them up once but had a real problem having to have that wire running across the room if I moved the pc, and also could't figure out how to NOT have the programs run on the pc and still be able to use it for an actual pc. So it made me wonder if they came with tuners, why can't you watch tv on them? Let me know..please!
